Point of View

Point-of-view: the perspective from which a story is told.

Perspective – way of seeing

1^st = use of “I” – story is told by the protagonist

2^nd = use of “you” -  less common. Things like memos.

3^rd – use of “he, she, it”

3^rd person limited – narrator knows about one character only

3^rd person omniscient – all-knowing – narrator knows everything.
