• Objective: Connect authors' techniques for creating voice to the theme “Coming of Age.”
• Announcement: You will need your "coming of age" novel for the next class! If you finished yours, either bring it or the one you are currently reading now.

1. Bellwork: Read "Always Running," on pages 35-36 of your SpringBoard
2. Quiz: List the fanboys. Write a sentence of your own, using a fanboy.
3. Review the difference between prose and poetry
4. Activity 1.9 - Students will read the two Versions of One Memory and complete the grid on page 34 and written responses on page 39 to turn in for points.  This will be homework if you do not finish today. Best writing! Complete answers, with evidence from the text. This handout is double-sided.
