Day 23- Periods 1, 2, 5, & 6 Friday, February 28 AND Period 4, Monday, 3/3

Objective:
1. Understand the different types of questions.
2. Do a Close Reading of a text by annotating, focusing on asking and answering questions.

  1. Bellringer: Freewrite: How’s it going for you as a reader of Romeo and Juliet? What are your thoughts, reactions, comments, questions, problems, successes? Have you grown as a reader? How? What has confused you?  Proofread when you’re finished.

  2. QAR - Define scheme, QAR graphic organizer, analyze own questions using questions from A4, S1

  3. Act 4, Scene 2 - 3 - Individually. Annotate: Be sure to ask questions as you read.

  4. Whole class read A4, S2-3 and then discuss annotations & questions.

  5. Activity 4.21, page 298: Class will break down the Friar's plan. Students will evaluate the plan in a Quickwrite.
